   Scale

Scale is just another word for size. Big scale means "Big in Size". Small scale means "Small in Size". Scale is used in art to make great or "Big Scale" monuments as in the picture below.

Proportion

Proportion refers to relative size, or size measured against other elements. In the picture below the artist wanted to help find and display the proportions of a human.
