Illusion of Motion, Christian Tedder

Just about everything in everyday life involves some sort of constant change. Including motion into art is very important. In art there are many ways to depict and suggest motion.

Ways to Suggest Motion -

Figure Repeating-   Oldest way of depicting motion by repeating the figure with changes to suggest motion.
Figure Cropped-     Shows the figure in frame, then by cropping part of the figure out it shows motion and movement.

Other Ways to Suggest Motion-

Blurred outlines and fast shapes- By blurring the edges on an object in motion or adding speed lines it helps add the affect of motion. it makes the object look as if it is speeding in motion.
